Alberta Truck Driving Championship cancelled The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) has cancelled this year's Professional Truck Driving Championship (PTDC). The Truck Rodeo, which the association says is "one of our most exciting events," was cancelled due to a lack of driver and volunteer registration. "Consequently, and after much discussion and cooperation, the AMTA and the PTDC steering/planning committee made the difficult decision to cancel PTDC 2022," the association announced. "The struggle to hold events after Covid restrictions is not unique to AMTA; other organizations face similar challenges. Several factors may have contributed to or influenced this year's low response rate, as everyone lives in a post-pandemic world." The association plans to hold the event again next year.
