Delica D: 5 monocab again has a special version of Jasper

Mitsubishi has started selling the Delica D:5 crossover for travel enthusiasts. The Jasper modification returned to the range for the domestic market with water-repellent upholstery, red mudguards, decorative decals depicting an elk and branded accessories such as special nets in the trunk. The technique has remained unchanged for four years now. In Japan, a special version of the crossover costs 4.4 million yen.

Mitsubishi Delica D: 5 is a long-liver of the Japanese company, the cross-country vehicle has been produced with minor changes since 2007, and its basis is the first generation Outlander chassis. In the cabin of a 4.8-meter monocab, three rows of seats fit, options with seven and eight seats are possible.

Under the hood of the minivan is a 2.3-liter turbo diesel (145 hp, 380 Nm), which is combined with an 8-speed automatic and an all-wheel drive system with a clutch in the rear axle drive. From the inside, the Jasper modification is distinguished by dark seat upholstery, wooden inserts and reddish stitching.

On the outside, the traveler’s crossover stands out with moose decals on the front fenders, as well as silhouettes of mountain ranges above the opening of the sliding door mechanism. Puffy details are red rally-style mudguards and dark chrome wheels.

The Jasper special version costs about ten percent more than the base Delica D: 5, but this is not the most expensive modification – for a minivan with separate second-row seats in the performance of Urban Gear, you need to pay 4.58 million yen.
